1 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

<b>To everyone else Paul appeared to be a prisoner in Rome, but Paul looks into the eternal and sees himself a willing prisoner or captive, captivated 'In Christ'</b>

2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:

3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

<b>That you may see what God has revealed concerning what has been hitherto a mystery (see commentary at Eph 3:9), the adoption of the Gentiles into the family of God (Eph 1:5), and the breaking down the middle wall between them and the Jews, so as to make both one spiritual body in Christ, and on the same conditions. </b>

5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

<b>God does nothing without first revealing His plan to his servants the prophets. (Amo 3:7) Proving that the mysteries and secrets of God are laid up for us who believe. (Deut 29:29)</b>

6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

<b>The mystery is now revealed, Paul received revelation of the mystery of the plan of God by divine revelation from the Holy Spirit (Gal 1:12), In the same way Peter received divine revelation that 'thou art the Christ' (Matt 16:16) This is God's intentional way of revealing Christ in us, by divine revelation from the Holy Spirit  (John 16:12-13) God's plan was once a mystery, or a secret (Duet 29:29),  but the same verse tells us that the mysteries of God, the secrets of God are not hidden from us but are laid up for us and belong to all believers who seek revelation. (Deut 29:29) The secrets of God are not revealed to satan for if he knew, he would not have tried to destroy the Lord of Glory. (1 Cor 2:7-8) </b>

10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

<b>The revealed mystery in action.We are to get the plan of salvation through Jesus Christ and to expose a defeated enemy on purpose before God. We have assurance that if we ask anything in agreement with His plan, He listens to and hears us (1 Joh 5:13-15amp). How is this achieved?  We are to speak the mysteries of God, the mystery is the wisdom of God. (1 Cor 2:7) To receive wisdom is to get the beginning (Prov 9:10) , then God will give us the rest, His rest. (Heb 4:3) The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him. (Ps 25:12-14)  (Prov 4:7) Tells us to get wisdom (the word of God) and understanding (Through Holy Spirit revelation) (Prov 4:20-24,) tells us that we receive wisdom like a seed through our eyes ears on by speaking from our mouth seeds are planted,. Good seeds (positive words, in line with the word of God) bring a harvest of its kind, good fruit, Bad seed (negative words, against what God has said in His word, see commentary in Mark 4:13-20) brings a harvest of bad fruit. (Gal 6:6-8) The power of life and death is in the power of the tongue. (Prov 18:21)</b>

11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

<b>Learn how to walk in His plan. The plan of God is manifest from the Holy Spirit, into the human spirit and into a renewed mind as revelation. Learn how to do the plan on purpose (head + whole body).</b>

17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

<b>Get equipped, put on the armour of God. (see Eph 6:11-13) Get equipped with the weapons and stay equipped, by obeying all that God says (God's word), whatever he says, do it standing and walking in love.</b>

18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

<b>Do the plan (on purpose), be doers of the word, (Jam 1:22-25) Expose and tear  down (loosen, dissolve) down the enemy, using the plan as the method. (2 Cor 10:3-5)</b>

19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

<b>When the day dawns and our soul is flooded with God through revelation of Christ mirrorring our perfect born again spirit. (2 Pet 1:19)  That our joy shall be full. (Joh 15:11),</b>

20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

<b>The power that works in us, the power of the holy Spirit which works strongly in us, energising our hearts, expelling evil, purifying and refining the affections and desires, and implanting good. Grow up into Him, God through Christ as our destination, destiny and arrival place, bringing from the spirit into the natural the abundant life). (Joh 10:10 amp, Eph 4:15-16) This power is not on the outside, it is within the born again believer. It is the Holy Spirit working according to the faith that we receive through Christ. As Paul declared, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (see Rom 8:13 amp, Phil 4:13).</b>

21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
